FAQ
Common questions
What sort of chemicals do you use, and are they safe?
My Clean Carpet uses only eco-friendly and wool safe products, that are safe for you, your home, animals and the environment.
How long will my carpet/sofa take to dry?
It will just take a few hours for your carpet/rug and upholstery to dry, all depending on the fabric/n material, and the time of year.
What is the process for carpet cleaning?
After visually inspecting the area you want us to clean we will remove the small furniture and items that are in the way - for bigger furniture we use sliders. We will then pre-spray the area, hand brush, then water extract the carpet and rinse it before checking it again to see if there are any spots/stains that require any extra special treatment.
Are you able to remove wine/coffee stains?
Yes, we are able to remove most stains, including red wine spills, coffee, tea and sauces.
However, please note that the ability to remove stains also depends on the type of carpet/rug that they are on (nylon, wool, polyester etc) and the time that they have been left without being treated (or mis-treated). You should never try to remove a stain by yourself as you might damage the carpet/rug. Do feel free to give us a call if one of those 'accidents' happens and we will get round to you as quickly as we can! Stain removal can only be quoted on site as each stain is unique and requires different attention.
Are you qualified and insured?
Yes, we are fully insured and certified. We have attended the Professional Carpet Cleaning Training Courses as well as upholstery Cleaning Training Courses at Prochem Europe Ltd in Chessington, Surrey.
